What Would You Like to Know?
Do I need a partner to take dance lessons?
No. Singles and couples are both welcome. During private lessons, your instructor can dance with you so you can learn comfortably and make steady progress.
Do I need any dance experience?
Not at all. Many C&C students begin with no previous dance experience. Your lessons will start at the right level for you and move at a pace that feels comfortable.
How do I reserve an introductory lesson?
Contact the studio to choose an available time. A $25 payment reserves your introductory lesson time slot; the introductory lesson is not free.
What should I wear to my lesson?
Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move easily. Choose secure shoes that stay on your feet and can turn on the floor; avoid flip-flops or shoes with heavy rubber soles.
What is the difference between private and group lessons?
Private lessons give you personalized instruction based on your goals and learning pace. Group classes let you practice a featured dance with other students and are a fun way to build skills and community.
What dance styles do you teach?
We teach 38 partner dance styles across Ballroom, International Standard, American Rhythm, International Latin, Nightclub, Swing, Tango and Country Western—including Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Bachata, Two Step, West Coast Swing and many more.
Can you help us prepare a wedding dance?
Yes. We can create a comfortable, personal first dance and also help with parent dances, wedding-party dances or general reception dancing. Starting early gives you more time to feel relaxed and confident.
Are lessons only for competitive dancers?
No. C&C is home to a healthy blend of social and competitive dancers. You can learn for date nights, social outings, weddings, confidence, exercise or competition—your goals shape your program.
How long are studio parties?
Studio dance parties are typically two hours, giving students time to practice, socialize and enjoy several styles of music.
Are social outings included in group-class membership?
No. C&C plans one social outing each month, and outings are separate from the group-class membership. Details and any outing cost are announced for each event.
Can I learn to compete or travel with the studio?
Yes. We help interested students train for competition and offer opportunities to travel with the C&C community to events around the world. Ask us which experience fits your goals.
